Well maintained, clean and quiet. Bread in the morning, lunch and diner possible at nearby restaurant.Wednesday night bring your own bbq to meet fellow visitors. Swimming in nearby river.
Big flat pitches, whith lots of shade. 16A electricity.

We had a great stay for 2 weeks with nothing to complain about. Jean and Cecile are very hospitable.
English translatings on signs could be better, but the small mistakes just make me smile 😃
Spacious camp sites with enough shadow. Incredibly clean facilities. Great hospitality, very good price. Attention for the environment. Very good drinking water.

We had a wonderful time at La Chataigneraie. It's a great location for exploring nature, culture and lots of yummy local foods! Cecile and Jean are the most friendly people who made us feel welcome everyday. Also the swimming at the riverside was a great idyllic place to visit each day to cool off, about ten minutes walking distance. The wednesday bbq was a nice touch for meeting people on the campsite. Tip for vegetarians: there's a local supermarket near Les Vans where they also sell very good vegetarian food: Aux Fermes Des Rayols. And try the ravioli from à l'Aube or pizza from Chez Alex!
There's quite some noise for example from camping neighbours (of course), the cicades and the road nearby. That's not something to fix, but good to be aware of. Also, the weather was super hot! Again not something you can control, but definitely wort to keep in mind when booking your stay.
Wonderful and very complete tipi! Everything we needed was provided. Our family of four had a great time sleeping here. The beds were very comfortable. We could close the super dark tent fabric in the 'bedrooms' so even our 'early waking' boys would sleep a bit longer :)

Peaceful camping with beautifully shaded spots, surrounded by the trees. 10 minute walk to the river where you can bathe and hike. Sanitary was absolutely spotless! Very friendly owners. We would definitely recommend this campsite and will be back in the future.

Bedankt Jean & Cecile! Wij hebben niets aan te merken, alles was super aangenaam! Van de vele bomen waardoor er genoeg schaduw was tot het onderhoud van de toiletten. Je voelde dat de eigenaars toegankelijk waren en ze de camping met hart en ziel beheren. De biologische en locale producten, alsook het heerlijke artisanale ijs, maakte ons verblijf heerlijk. Als je naar een kleinschalige en geen commerciële camping wilt gaan, raden wij deze plek ten zeerste aan! Wij komen zeker terug :-). Ps: Jean bouwt alle (!) cabannes en huisjes van de camping zelf! ??

L'accueil chaleureux et toujours souriant des propriétaires . La Châtaigneraie est un lieu agréable et calme où il fait bon de se poser après une randonnée.
Confortable et mieux que certains bungalow déjà rencontré ailleurs Les sanitaires son équivalent a une salle de bain équipée Le tout très propre a notre arrivée

J'ai passé une semaine avec mes 2 garçons et ce camping est excellent, bien équipé, ombragé, depot de pain frais les matins, cadre agréable, accueil chaleureux par Jean et sa femme, proximité de la rivière à pied et resto bar très bon juste à côté. Nous reviendrons sûrement.
Un rideau type moustiquaire à l'entrée des tentes serait appréciable 😀

Nous sommes enchantés d'avoir séjourné à la Châtaigneraie . Pour nous c'était la seconde fois et nous sommes toujours aussi heureux d'y venir passer quelques jours . Tout est parfaitement bien pensé . C'est très clean , la literie impeccable . Bref ! Nous sommes contents ;) et nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir .
Cette cabane est parfaite . Literie nickel , tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner , la terrasse , les sanitaires privés. Le côté cosy nous a beaucoup plu . Tout est bien pensé .

Un vrai bon moment passé dans le camping La Chataigneraie. Un accueil chaleureux, Pierre et Cécile sont disponibles et de bon conseils pour découvrir cette belle région. Le mercredi braséro est une belle idée mise en place pour échanger et partager autour d'un apéro/repas.
La petite taille du camping est très appréciable avec des emplacements bien ombragés, au calme et à proximité du Chassezac. Le petit coin bibliothèque avec prêt de livre a été fort apprécié par nos enfants
