Camping Mille Etoiles

The campsite is in a peaceful location full of wildlife with easy access to walks and a stunning viewpoint across the gorge. The hosts were really helpful and the facilities were great, including the games and on site restaurant. The steep walk down to the river was worth it for a nice morning or evening swim and we enjoyed seeing lots of nature too during our stay. Easy access to nearby sites such as the caves and also canoeing on the Ardeche.

Great for hikers - walk to gorge down steep sides of the gorge . Expensive .

Perfect little campsite ably run by Natalie and Christophe. Lovely setting in amongst the shady pines which was perfect for us being in a tent. Private grounds in the national park and a short but let’s not pretend, steep drop down to the gorge for a swim on what felt like a private beach. It’s a great place, nice bar/restaurant/seating area to relax in after your day out on the river it beautiful surroundings. Charming village of La Bastide du Virac on your doorstep too. If you want a laid back slice of camping heaven, this is the place… Thanks for a wonderful welcome and stay.

We had a short but lovely stay at Mille Etoiles in a truly magical location. The vibe is relaxed, the atmosphere calm, everybody being really nice. The kids made friends quickly and we had a fun time hiking down 20 mins to the river for a swim in the river.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Mille Etoiles. The campground is situated beautifully among trees with plenty of shade and sunny spots. Nadine was so helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed the restaurant which has a nice selection of food and is easy and comfortable, particularly with kids. The option to order baguette and croissants for the mornings was so convenient. And the most wonderful of all was the river. The hike down is a steep 25-30 minute walk but it is so worth it! At the bottom you arrive in a little paradise of coves and rocks and beaches.

The location of the campsite is excellent. It is really at the heart of all the adventure the region can offer. The safari tents are lovely, and the staff are super helpful and friendly.

Excellent hard working hosts. Fresh croissants, Bread and coffee each morning and nice family menu for the evening if required. Safari lodge perfect for our needs. Our family members with children enjoyed camping on a pitch close by. Peaceful site and great base for exploring the region.

Yurt was comfortable and convenient, site fairly quiet and well-located in the natural park and a we could walk to the river down the steep gorge track. It's amazing to be able to eat at the campsite cafe and order fresh bakery items every day.

It was slightly annoying to have slippery plastic mattress and duvet covers. But appreciate this is helpful for keeping them clean. Also having to take soap and toilet paper every time we went to the bathrooms (none provided). And we didn't have enough comfortable chairs for everyone (you only have one sun lounger and one hammock for a family of 4).

We stayed here with our two kids and had a great time. Very clean, cosy and a wonderfull view. The people working here are very friendly and kind

Choix d' un coin de nature pour nous ressourcer : marcher, se baigner, contempler de nouveaux paysages . Nous n'avons pas été déçus et les nouveaux propriétaires de ce camping sont aux petits soins de leurs clients. On a aimé leur simplicité et authenticité. Nous avons fait la grotte d'Aven d'orgnac : magnifique et la grotte forestière. Balade dans les villages et villes alentours. SAMPZON, VALLON PONT D'ARC,SALAVAS, BARJAC, LABASTIDE. a ne pas manquer: la randonnée dans les gorges du hameau des crottes ( 8 ou 12 km) , le coup de coeur pour nous

We hebben ontzettend genoten van ons vetblijf op de camping en de vele mooie wandelingen in de directe omgeving.

Camping nouvellement repris par une famille extra ! Gentillesse, disponibilité, elle est pleine d'ambition pour faire vivre ce petit camping situé au calme au milieu de la réserve. Nous vous souhaitons bon courage pour la suite, mais nous reviendrons !

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt auf diesem äußerst ruhigen und in Mitten schönster Natur gelegenen Campingplatz sehr genossen. Die Safarilodge hatte für uns genau den richtigen Level an Komfort - wir hatten alles, was wir gebraucht haben, inklusive fließend warmem Wasser, einen vier Flammen Gasherd und Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, was bei teilweise 38C unsere Rettung war. Der Auf- und Abstieg zur nahegelegenen Badestelle war zunächst eine Herausforderung, da es sehr heiß war und wir nur über Badelatschen verfügten, doch von Tag zu Tag konnten wir auch das mehr und mehr genießen.

Achtung - man sollte fit sein und keine Einschränkungen beim Gehen verfügen, da der Pfad teilweise sehr steil und felsig ist. Für uns ist er zu einem schönen Teil der Erfahrung des Campingplatzes geworden, zumal die Badestelle ein wunderschönes, paradiesisches Fleckchen Erde ist. Die Inhaber des Platzes waren erreichbar, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir werden diesen Campingplatz weiterempfehlen und gerne wiederkommen.

Un site magnifique, préservé, loin de l'agitation et, en prime, un accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires. Des conseils et de la convivialité, c'était très agréable d'y séjourner.

Emplacement de tente spacieux et très ombragé. Sanitaires propres. De nombreux services sont proposés : snack, épicerie de secours, petit-déjeuner et pique-nique. Ambiance calme, détendu et loin de la canicule du sud. Nathalie et sa famille sont à l’écoute et soucieux du bien-être de leurs campeurs. Ils sont de bon conseil pour vous faire découvrir la région. Un coin de rivière paradisiaque se trouve à 1 km en contrebas du camping.
