Here are the essential criteria:

A minimum average score of 8.5/10
Only campsites with an average score equal to or higher than 8.5/10 over the calendar year are eligible. This requirement ensures that only campsites that truly satisfy their guests are highlighted.
At least 10 certified reviews
To qualify, a campsite must have received at least 10 certified reviews during the year. Why? Because we believe in representativeness: the more reviews, the more reliable and balanced the overall picture of a campsite’s quality.
Transparent review management
Transparency is one of our top priorities at Camping2Be. To qualify for an award, a campsite must not have deleted or suspended more than 25% of the reviews it received during the year. This rule guarantees that the ratings reflect reality, without manipulation or bias.

Certified reviews vs. spontaneous reviews: the difference that makes Camping2Be credible

At Camping2Be, we distinguish between two types of reviews for an even more reliable and relevant evaluation:

Certified reviews: proof of a real experience
Certified reviews can only be left by guests who actually stayed at the campsite. How do we ensure that? Through a strict verification system:

Only customers who booked through our platform (or via one of our partners like Camping Direct) can leave a certified review.
After their stay, they receive a unique link to share their experience.
Once published, the review cannot be edited – ensuring its authenticity.

Why does this matter? Certified reviews eliminate the risk of fake or manipulated comments. They reflect the real experiences of campers, without filters or bias.

Spontaneous reviews: free expression, clearly marked
Spontaneous reviews are those left freely by visitors via the form on Camping2Be. They’re useful for gathering a wide range of opinions, but they are always clearly identified as such on our platform.
